My name is Robert Williams bka Big Rob,aka King Lyrical. I was born and raised in South Acres. An infamous hood in the southside of Houston,Tx. I grew up without my father just like my whole neighborhood and most black males. I am family oriented and i literally love music with all my heart. As a kid I always loved to sing. Ive been singing and leading solos at church since the age of six. At the age of 13 I started singing and performing in talent shows and after school programs at different Houston High Schools all around town to earn some extra cash.When I was 17 years old,i lead the Madison HighSchool Gospel Choir in "Melodies From Heaven" at the 2002 Rodeo Show in front of 55,000 people. Hands Down 1 of the greatest moments in my Life. I've been performing on stage in front of huge crowds since i was 13 years old. I used to participate in summer music programs for under privledged youth,and we would put on broadway shows at the end of program.I would work primarily with inner-city youth blessed with many talents such as drawing, singing, acting and dancing and we put on our version of different Broadway stage shows every summer. Thats how I gained a small fan base at a young age. I love performing on stage and in front of an audience it just comes natural for me. I got married December 1st and i have a gorgeous baby girl(9months old). I've been singing since i was 4 years old,and rapping since i was 19. I also produce and direct videos. I'm an all around cat but i really work my best to always have an humble heart. I have 4 mixtapes out at the moment and working on my 5th. My last mixtape i dropped was titled "Bout Damn Time". It got so many great reviews from people on college campuses and cats from my hood that i decided to come out with the album. Right now its just 4 songs on my profile but i'm going to add the whole album really soon. Deep down inside i feel i am the next cat to blow out of Houston because i am so talented. However, i am waiting for God to bless me with the opportunity,and when or if he does i will not take it for granted and i will give it my all. My rap influences are Biggie Smalls and Jay-z and The Clipse.My singing influences are Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. My production influences are Timbaland and Kanye West.My video director influences are Jesse Terrero and Hype Williams. I really hope you like my music.
